Minh joined Institute for Advanced Membrane Technology as a research assistant in April 2017. In early 2018, he earned a DAAD doctoral scholarship in Sustainable Water Management, and started his PhD research in May 2018.

Minh aspires to make water treatment with membranes available in third world countries, and targets efficient and low-cost methods to achieve >90% rejection of micropollutants from waters.

His focus is on membrane modification with nanoparticles to boost hormone removal through adsorption pathway.
