In the world, many countries are enduring water scarcity because the supply of clean and safe water is not satisfied. Micropollutants like steroid hormones, industrial chemicals and pesticides are ubiquitous in the environment. In the response to the increasing water crisis including micropollutant contamination and water scarcity, the membrane separation technology for water recovery and purification has become one of the most important research issues.
